Wound Care: Infection Control in the Home Care Setting

Many of our patients are unable to even get out of a bed or are wheelchair bound during the day. Because of this, these individuals are prone to develop wounds called decubitus ulcers. Our wound care team is led by a board certified surgeon and made up of certified wound care specialists to provide comprehensive plans to treat patients' wounds.

In some cases, dead skin and tissue needs to be removed from the wound and is called debridement. Our wound care surgeon provides this treatment in the comfort of the patient’s own home as opposed to being transferred to a hospital or an ambulatory surgical clinic to treat the condition.
