Podiatry Procedures and Foot Care
Podiatrists are physicians who specialize in foot care and are qualified and licensed to provide podiatry procedures, including:
- Medically treat soft tissue and bone disorders of the foot and ankle
- Surgically treat soft tissue and bone disorders of the foot and ankle
- Medically and surgically treat soft tissue problems of the lower legs, below the knee.
Many of our patients are bedridden, have poor vision or poor feeling in their feet and are unaware of their foot care issues and unable to address them.
Our podiatry procedures and foot care services range from toenail care and fitting for special shoes, to treating wounds on the foot and lower extremities. Podiatrists are trained in the treatment of these wounds, including sharp debridement and local wound care, and have extensive experience caring for the elderly.
