Craig Reiff, CEO: Craig grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan and attended the University of Michigan graduating with a BBA. He held a variety of management positions at American Hospital Supply, Baxter, Allegiance, and Cardinal Health in distribution, manufacturing, and services for over 20 years. He joined Home Physicians in May 2006. Craig enjoys the challenge and positive impact of providing quality care to the homebound, and firmly believes that quality care at home coordinated by physicians and caregiver support can improve both quality of life and lower costs for patients. Married for 22 years, Craig has four children, and loves golf, travel, scuba diving, and outdoor activities.
Dr. Michael Fessenden, Medical Director: Michael grew up in rural Missouri and attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City where he earned his Medical Degree. Michael later earned his MBA while maintaining a full time practice. Dr. Fessenden is Board Certified in Family Medicine and has served a variety of patients in both public and private health care sectors. He believes that patients need to be cared for by their own unique desires. Dr. Fessenden is married with 3 children.
April Cueller, Director of Patient Records and Compliance: Originally from the Chicago area, April received a BS from the University of Illinois Medical Center with a concentration in Medical Record Administration. She has over 30 years experience in the medical field with over 25 years in management of medical records, compliance, EMR implementation, workflow organization, and staffing analysis. April enjoys Home Physicians because of the diversity of responsibilities. In her spare time, she enjoys working out with weights and aerobics, golfing, and traveling.
Jake Shimansky, DASPR, Director of Physician Recruitment: Jake was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and called 5 states home before finally spending most of his life in Metro Detroit. He received a B.S. in Psychology from Michigan State University. Upon graduating MSU, Jake began a career in social work dealing mostly with the developmentally disabled and chronically mentally impaired. After nearly 4 years and part of the way through his M.S.W. he decided to switch gears and enter the field of healthcare. Jake worked for three years with a major PPO in provider relations before focusing on physician recruitment. Jake recruited for a large multi-state private practice and most recently worked as a physician recruiter for a large east coast children's health system. Jake joined Home Physicians in 2009 as Director of Physician Recruitment and handles recruitment and credentialing for both the Chicago and Baltimore offices. Jake currently lives in Deerfield, Illinois with his wife and three boys. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys participating in fantasy sports.
Martha Fountain RN, CHCQM, Director of Operations, Baltimore Office: After completing 14 years of clinical nursing both as an LPN and then as an RN, Martha made the leap into Managed Care in 1990. In the subsequent 20 years she worked for the largest insurers in the nation and managed various departments as Director of Health Services, managing case management, utilization review, appeals, call centers and specialized programs. She has worked with Physicians and patients throughout her career and came on board with Home Physicians in October 2010. She lives in Annapolis, loves to sail on the Chesapeake with her family and looks forward to many years ahead working with patients, caregivers, and the Home Physicians providers who care for them.
